A one-man show that looks at a first year teacher's experience teaching in the heart of South-Central Los Angeles. The show examines and explores the interaction of two elementary school students and their families with Mr. Fry, as each is confronted with both personal individual and family tragedies. They Call Me Mister Fry is a true story, performed by what is today, a 10 year teaching veteran, who recounts his first year teaching. It is a story about students and teachers and life performed by the actual employed teacher Mr. Fry, Jack Freiberger.
Jack Freiberger (Mr. Fry) will also be conducting free workshops on Friday and Saturday. Call the Doudna Fine Arts Center at 217.581.8513 to learn more. For more information, visit: www.theycallmemisterfry.com
