Roberto Michele Buttarazzi (Robert Michaels) was raised in the picturesque, ancient mountain-side town of Arpino, about 95 kilometers southeast of Rome. It was there that Robert first heard the music that would stoke his ambitions. Michaels' debut CD, Paradiso, would ultimately sell more than 100,000 copies in Canada, an extraordinary achievement for an instrumental artist. His impressive sales figures and numerous honors, including a Juno Award for Best Instrumental Album has garnered the guitarist a legion of die-hard fans. Robert Michaels' six CD releases have exceeded gold and platinum sales status.
